This is the plate which picks up on the idea of taking a tree beyond its normal habitat, clear up into the Arctic circle. 
We think of the tree. If it never again has leaves,
We’ll know, we say, that this was the night it died.
It is very far north, we admit, to have brought the peach.
The zone on zone of biting wind and hard frost and cold moon is contrasted with implicit houses and structures which can withstand the elements.
