Gratitude to the Unknown Instructors

The last in the tangentials videos is just up in Youtube.  I've put it on the Creative Spaces group home page, here

What they undertook to do,
They brought to pass;
All things hang like a drop of dew,
Upon a blade of grass.

This little poem is one of the gems of English literature.

Published in 1933, with the title Gratitude to the Unknown Instructors, Yeats is referencing his teachers: their learnings, their way of being. Not only those who literally taught him, but the unseen cloud of witnesses, who influenced, and shaped, and created the backdrop of all endeavour.

The intaglio etchings also illustrate two other poems in tangentials.

Emily Dickinson, There is no frigate like a book to take us lands away

A E Housman, It is no gift I tender, a loan is all I can

I hope to splice together all three tangentials videos, giving one handy reference. kiwiconnexions growing list of illustrated poems is growing.
