Clear presentation David. Interesting that even today the Church has the wide range of beliefs and power struggles that can cause division within and cynicism from outside the church. Intolerance and inflexibility destroy compassion.

Yes indeed. But how interesting that the newspaper chose to get involved in the debates back then. Hard to see that happening today.
