We don’t know how to live as an animal.

Carl Gustav Jung wrote that modern man feels himself isolated in the cosmos.
This is because he is no longer involved in nature. 
This is our contemporary dilemma. 
Humanity has degraded the environment.
The natural world is stretched to breaking point.
Why did we do it?
And why do we keep on doing it?

Largely because we don’t know how to live as an animal...

What is the human soul?

Psyche is a Greek word which means soul or spirit. 

The word psychology originally meant the study of the psyche. Today it means the science that deals with the human mind and behaviour.

So there has been a large shift in understanding. Science today has almost eliminated the idea of soul. It has been banished from the academy...More here from our study series introducing Carl Gustav Jung
